Everything leading up to having Saryn and 2 months strong and growing!

This was taken Sunday March 25!
It;s crazy to think how much she dropped in such a short time!
Well we haven't posted anything since Janurary so here is what we've been up to. This will mostly be about Saryn coming into this world :)
February: Worked hard, Alex had fun at school, valentines day was nice. Taylor turned 16, yay! She's her own driver now. My prenantals went well.
March....Ok this is a BIG MONTH
Last month of pregnancy That was the hardest moth ever, just so excited waiting for Saryn to come! I had a ton of braxton hicks and prelabor contractors all through out March and we went in thinking we were going to have her on March 18 nope sure didn't! I was only dialted to a 1 and 60% effaced. Ashley came out to visit which was nice. I started my maternity leave the week of the 18 while she was visiting. It was great. we went to City Creek  and saw the midnight premier of Hunger Games. Best distraction ever! Ok onto D-day!

one day old!
So I went into my doctor's appointment that morning hoping I was diatled father than a 1 and more than 60% effaced. Alex came with me for my appointment at 8:30am and was anxious to see if we would be having our little one. When my doctor checked me, he said I was dialted to a 2 and 60% effaced. He said he would probably be seeing me soon, but we didn't know how soon. We are assuming he stripped my membranes during that appointment due to the extent of the examine... Anyway... We left his office around 9:30 and I wasn't feeling well at all. I called my mom and she could tell somthing was different. On our way home I had a few little contractions but nothing big. We got home about 9:45 and I waslked downstairs to tell Ashley she probably wasn't driving back to Arizona today because it had snowed. As I am trying to tell her this, I had a very massive contraction that basically felt like I was being ripped in half. I fell on the floor and Alex told me, we're not waiting this time, we're going to the hospital. He called our parents and Ashley, Alex and I met up at the hospital. I got hookd up and they checked me at 10:30, I was dialated to a 3 and 70% effaced, huge progress in 1 hour! They told me I was staying and got me started on an IV drip on antibiotics. Around 11:30 they checked me again, I was dialated to a 4. We got moved into my delivery room and the fun began. They could not break my water until after 2:45 so the antibiotics would be completely in my system. Up until that point I was dialating pretty fast. My mom was sure if they has broken my water that I would have delivered much quicker. So they broke my water around 3, I was dialted to a 9 and 100% effaced. They were amazed that my water had not broken on it's own. At 3:21 they said I was dialated to a 10 and able to start pushing. At 4:21 Saryn Marie Hill was born. She weighed 7.3 lbs and was 20.5 inches long. I was so happy to see my little girl and was so happy to have my mom and Alex there to help me.
After she was born everything else is basically a blur. Alex turned 23 on the 30th and had the best present ever, having Saryn here with us. :)
April-
Alex finished school and I went back to work after 4 weeks. Saryn's One month appointment showed that she was 9.12 lbs. and 20.25 inches. She was in the 40% for weight, 35% for height. Slowly growing
May- Alex walked at graduation for his associates, which he will get his degree after the summer semester. He and his dad attempt to run the River Rail Relay. The both completed a half marathon. I turned 21, yay! Totally legal and considered a true adult hah. I started summer school with 12 credits.

One month old
Saryn just had her 2 month appointment on Tuesday the 29th. She weightd 11 pounds, in the 50% and was 23 inches, in the 70%. She is doing well and sleeping between 6-8 hours a night. SHe got her shots and was a total trooper. She can roll, smile, minic some of our sounds, scootch(trying to crawl), smack her toys and can hold her head and shoulds up using her forearms. She's so strong! I'm hoping she keeps progressing like this. Right now she's right on target doing things 3/4 months old can do!
2 months old

Me and my little peanut at 2 months!
Until Next time!! :)

10...9...8...

30 weeks
So the countdown has officially started for Alex and I. We have 10 weeks until our lil one makes our cozy twosome into a hectic threesome. With joy we are anxiously awaiting to dress her in many cute clothes and share her with everyone. :) My next appointment is Wednesday the 25th and I am expecting a routine checkup, it is the last of my 4 weeks appointments before I move to every 2 weeks. We will probably have 1 more ultrasound before I deliver. So far my pregnancy has been smooth health wise. I've noticed how much the body truly endures while making way for a baby and I must say it is no rodeo. I feel helpless sometimes when I am trying to get off the floor or even onto the floor for that matter. Alex has been really great and I appreciate his attitude through all my stubborn, teary and flat out crazy pregnancy moments. As well as the middle of the night wake up calls, make getting out of bed to use the bathroom easier with his help.

Alex started school on the 9th and has enjoyed his classes so far. It has definitely been crazy juggling our schedules and it makes us wonder how we did it our first semester married... and we realized we never really saw each other and I wasn't pregnant haha :) He has officially decided to attend Weber State this fall and continue on with his degree in physical education. We are coming to a crossroads in our lives here   shortly and are making some big plans regarding school, occupation and area code choices. We have been so blessed the last 18 months-ish to have family surround us and support us and give us guidance. We'll fly the coup soon!

Work has been good for Alex, he's getting back into routine to work the 445 shift again 3 days a week! I guess it helps that I get up with him on those days most generally as well, or I'm already awake. Work for me has been good, we made it through another rush week at the bookstore but business at the Davis campus has been good for us and has kept flowing I think. As long as I am cleared to do so health wise by my doctor I plan on working up to my due date, or pretty darn close to it.

Alex and I have had some pretty awesome spiritual experiences within the last 2 weeks and we are so grateful to live close to a temple. I think without the help of the Lord in our daily workings we would truly be at a loss for what we should be doing. We've gotten so much better about reading scriptures together everyday and I've realized how better my day has gone for doing it. I watched The Testaments today and felt the spirit so powerfully! This church is true I know it. Alex and I have a testimony in the power of our Heavenly Father and the wonderful things He does for us, everyday.

Hopefully we'll get better with our blog! Have a great day!
Love,
Alex, Kelsie & Peanut
