Day 3 - Chapter 3

(8/3/18)

‘I have a boyfriend’ - the line killer to the start of any good relationship. His all-consuming thoughts every day were her and how can I see that smile again. Luckily he didn’t have to wait long, he could see her behind the front desk most days between 3:30pm and 9:00pm. He lucked out with coaching swim team falling in between that time frame.
They would text some of the time and had good conversation getting to know each other. He assumed he would continue to flirt, maybe his luck would pay off if he showed her he was sincere.
She broke up with her boyfriend, this must be a sign. But he needed encouragement from Krista to ask her out. You never know until you try…She said YES!
She’s left him a surprise at work one morning...One wish
So he left her one wish back.
That kiss was the sweetest one ever had….

Day 2 - Chapter 2

(8/2/18)
We worked together every Saturday. She would get irritated he was late...he just wanted sleep from his long weeks. She was a junior in high school, he was flunking out his first year at college.
(Jail bait!!)
One Saturday morning he tricked her into giving him HER number. Something to the effect of "so if I'm late, I can just call you instead of the front desk.
Seemed innocent.
That Monday morning she gets a text from a random number:
"Good morning beautiful"
Her thoughts....who the heck is texting me??? Then she remembers it could only be one person awake this early and this sweet......
His plan starts now, she just doesn't know it yet...
---End chapter 2

Day 1 - Chapter 1

(8/1/2018) -

The beginning of a 10-year love story(so far) told in 21 chapters...
Boy meets girl at a local swimming pool. He was a lifeguard, I was a cashier. The first time we meet his reputation proceeded him, the pool flirt.
Alex: Hi I'm Alex, what's your name?
-said over the front counter on a not so busy afternoon
Kelsie - I'm Kelsie.
Alex: Ooooo so you're the "other" Kelsey.
-said with too much emphasis on other
----my first thoughts.....this dude's a douche!!! ðŸ˜‚😂
--End of Chapter 1

Reflecting

Hello All!!

Hope you all have been having a wonderful day/night, whenever you are reading this! June was our last written update, vlogging is defiantly the BEST way to see an update on our life but writing sometimes help sort out what can go "unseen" on video.  Quick update for the last 2 1/2 months

June
Vidcon was awesome, we had a ton of fun and met up with some great people. The trip down was great, we took a snoozer outside of Prim, NV when we decided we were both exhausted. Saryn went to Disneyland for the first time and loved meeting Minnie Mouse, her highlight for the trip for sure. The drive back took FOREVER, traffic was bad and we ended up taking 2 hours longer to get home which with a toddler is a little rough.

July
Firework fun, Saryn loved seeing all the fireworks for sure. We had some fun at the beach and enjoyed the time we could as a family. Days got longer and so did work! By the end of July we finally had a working swamp cooler and finally relief from the 100+ degree days. We found out we are expecting a girl! We are excited to have another girl grace our family. We went to the family reunion and finally figured out what we were going to name this new little bundle, Emi Rae. Saryn loves the name and likes to see my belly to give it kisses.

August
This month was literally a blur. We worked, played and reorganized our house in preparation for December. Alex gave his notice at the Rush and started school again at the end of the month. Hie schedule isn't too bad and actually works really well for everyone. Here's to one more semester after this!

Today
Everything up to today has been great. Saryn is starting potty training which many will agree can be frustrating and challenging. We had an appointment at the beginning of the month and I do not have gestational diabetes. We have another appointment this week for 30 weeks, can you believe that? We are getting close, 10 weeks almost!

So I titled this blog "Reflecting". I have been reflecting back to the past 4 or more years, where we were and where we are now. I honestly can say I would not change a thing in my life that has gotten me here today. As I look at where I am at, the world can sum me up as: Working mom of a toddler with one on the way putting her husband through his last year of school. In a nut shell, this is our life and very true. I work full time outside my home. Alex recently took Saryn to a wonderful park called Castle Park in Kaysville this last week and sent me the message "I am the only dad here". In an ideal world I would love to be the one sending Alex texts and pictures of Saryn and I enjoy little adventures, but maybe that day will come.  For now, I live to see our vlogs and to come home to my family. I realized that children change your life drastically some for the better and on some days it feels like it is worse. There are days I know Alex and I think why are we having another child when Saryn is having one of her bad days but are reminded the .2% bad days do not out number the 99.8% good days. I think the one thing I miss most is having friends. I know that's weird to say but it's true. I look at what other people in my life pre marriage are doing or have done recently and realize the people I thought were friends have written me out of their lives. These are the people you see in public you know who they are and you have spent time with them (even lived with them) but for the moment you stop and talk to them the "it was great seeing you" at the end of the conversation is like a knife in the heart. I'm not bitter for my decisions or the actions or others but it seems the people with kids, women in particular, are the ones who get shut out first from all other activities unless it is with other women with children.

Anyway, that's a rant! We love you guys and hope you enjoy these infrequent updates on our life. Check out our vlog if you have time www.youtube.com/chelsukun , follow us on facebook instragram and twitter for daily updates.

Long Time No Write!

Hello Everybody!
I didn't think it had been so long since I last updated our blog, our first endeavor into letting people see our life. As you may know by now and some of you may not, we have a daily vlog! If you don't know what a daily vlog is: An unscripted video documentary of our life as it is EVERY DAY. That's it. Instead of reading what we've been up to you can watch what we've been up to, it's pretty cool. Here's a link to our page if you want to check it out and if you love it subscribe! https://www.youtube.com/ChelSukun

Any way there has been a ton of thing that has happened in literally the last... 7ish months. If you don't have time to watch it all here is a recap of all the big events!

Decemeber
Christmas time once again - Saryn had a completely blast! She got a doll house, little people and (2) car toys from Mimi and Papa that she loves to ride all over the place and hopefully will take some more adventures outdoors. She got building blocks from Grandma and Grandpa and enjoyed time seeing extended family.
December was a very humbling month for us and brought with it the joys, blessings, sorrows and reality of life as adults owning our own home. Don't worry with faith, love and trust we worked through everything without a hitch.
Kelsie took a well enjoyed week off of work to spend time with the family and loved every minute of it!

January
Holy cow a new year...2014. Alex was slamming busy with the school year starting up again, coaching swim team and high school as they finished out the school season. We enjoyed the little time we had with him as our schedules were opposite.
We found out that Erika is pregnant! So much happiness!

February
Alex took some of his swimmers for the high school to state and enjoyed the time down in Provo. Saryn made leaps in bounds in development and is always so cute to watch.
Kelsie hit a milestone in her weight loss as she trained for her half, she had finally lost 10 lbs and it was so worth it.

March
Saryn turned 2 and got a play house for her birthday she loves playing on it!
Alex went to Albuquerque for a coaching conference, the first time we ever spent time away from each other in 4 years of marriage!  We missed him so much
We got a new car, the Journey is our power wagon..
Alex got the best birthday present he could ever hope for... Vidcon tickets and a family vacation in June. (And he got to ride in a viper)

April
Saryn went on her first easter egg dive at Surf and Swim, she loved picking up the eggs and playing in the water at the same time.
Alex passed all his classes with flying colors and is so ready to be done with school
We have a big announcement.. We are expecting baby #2 this December!

May
Despite having a lack of energy and time on her feet Kelsie completed her first half Marathon at 3:35:47. She did great and we are all very proud of her for pushing herself to accomplish a goal of hers.
Alex surprised Kelsie with flowers for her birthday and mother's day, she finally relented and will let me buy her flowers now. It makes her feel special.
We drove to rock Springs for Kelsie's grandma's 70th birthday. It was cool to meet her family I have never met before.
Kelsie likes to scare the crap out of me, we had an emergency visit to the ER when she started having a lot of cramping and bleeding. No worries tough everyone is healthy and happy.
Saryn decided bubbles are the best thing in the word, especially with Kaiya.

June
And here we are half way through June already!
I forgot to mention Alex started Targetballing with a fellow youtuber and they are now I think on day 73(today is superman) and some of their pictures are hilarious and are all over instagram and the internet. Saryn is growing and has struggles like most 2 year olds do with the terrible terrible 2's. It will get better and I got her to bed at a very decent time (8:45) tonight. I have my little wins every now and themAlex is working 3 jobs right now, Surf and Swim, The Rush and coaching. It keeps him busy and motivated. His grandma passed away on June 2nd and her funeral was that following weekend. We were unable to attend her funeral due to Alex's scheduling not being flexible for that Saturday. We had a good time up on Saturday evening and Sunday with his family remembering his grandma and the wonderful lady she was.
We go on vacation and vidcon next week, we are so excited!! This has been a much anticipated trip to get away and have our first family vacation together with Saryn. We have a few things planned but are so ready to leave!

I hope you guys enjoyed this update. I won't make any promises on how regularly it's updated, but the blog is staying to help us express things that we sometimes don't put down on video but would like to on paper!

Remember we love all of you! Stay Chelin'!

Love,

The Whacky Chels

Small Accomplishments

So I am up at 6 on a fine Saturday morning and I was thinking about my past accomplishments in the last couple if months and it can be surprising to look back. Last night I took note of these things.
1) I have consistently worked out for 60 days
2) I have improved my mile to be 13:00 from 14:35
3) I can do a plank on my left AND right side!
4) I have improved my eating habits
5) I did 2 5K's
6) I ran 4.60 miles my splits where 13:05, 12:38, 13:07, 17:19(Train), 5:15
7) I feel better
8) I've turned much of my thunder thighs (lol) into muscle
9) I FINALLY realized Alex wasn't a liar, I do look slimmer
10) I fit in my size 12 capris, my favorite ones!

I hadn't taken time to appreciate the little accomplishments and as I was reading 2 of the ladies I follow, Tanee (http://fromfattofitchick.blogspot.com/)  and Amanada (https://www.facebook.com/amandaleightyson) I had to start from somewhere and this will take time. Although I did not start out with the challenges they had, I have my own battle on weight loss. I meet my weight for diet bet as I said in a pervious blog but I started lifting weights and focusing on my power muscles a little more and I gained weight but I am not discouraged. I have a goal of 169 by Dec. 24 but if I don't reach it, it is not for lack of trying. I have 4 weeks but that's ok, I weighted 179.6 this morning and I know it's because my muscle density has increased and that's ok! Both Amanda and Tanee reminded me you have o start somewhere and the biggest challenge is starting and then keeping it up. This is a lifestyle change and it is worth it!

Don't forget to check out of vlog! Friday's video had a terrible time uploading as the storm knocked out out internet over night so Alex woke up to 2% uploaded... he was not a happy camper! Come check us out

We love you guys. Keep up for goals and remember the small accomplishments. I'm off the get some chores done while Saryn in asleep!

Love ya!
